The people of Iran have experienced unimaginable horrors under an oppressive, tyrannical regime that seeks to rule their people through terror and fear. Imagine seeing blood running in the streets of your city, body bags by the thousands, loved ones who’ve been shot and injured in the hospital only to be hunted down by the government and dragged to prison to be tortured or shot and killed in their hospital beds. Imagine being a mother who loses her son to suicide because he has no hope living under such a regime. These are real stories of what the people of Iran have been suffering.
In asking God for His heart for how to minister to them in this horrendous time, He has given us an idea to create a podcast series entitled “Created to Heal: The Intersection Between Neuroscience, Walking with Jesus, and Mental Health”. Our aim is to help heal the brokenhearted.
We understand the issues our Persian brothers and sisters are facing are complex and that they are a people in collective trauma. For that reason, we plan to share tenderly inviting them to receive from the One who sees them, loves them, and is with them…Jesus, our Emmanuel.
Psalm 147:3-5
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars
and calls them each by name.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
His understanding has no limit.
